We always have a great time here! Really nice bar/coffee shop atmosphere. Great place to hang out with friends and get a wonderful show. Drinks are top notch here with lots of options for drinkers and nondrinkers alike!

I enjoy playing at the open mics. The music is good and couches comfy, Lauren made a great latte, and the whole vibe is a cafe local classic.

Hendershot's is a great unique place and experience to drop in for delicious coffee and a fabulous selection of beverages. The atmosphere and entertainment is beyond expectations. The staff is personable, knowledgeable, and professional!!! Hendershot's carries a new and delicious Athletic Brewing Company non-alcoholic IPA brew with less than .5 alcohol called "Free Wave" "Hazy IPA. It's an up and coming trend. Do we not see it!!! Come and experience Hendershot's! Something for all!!! ❤️ Love it and highly recommend!

I am a fan of chargrilled oysters and they only serve raw. The server explained how all prepared raw oyster dishes are not served equally. I decided to give it a try. I absolutely loved them. My girls and I had shrimp & grits and fried rice. Absolutely loved! Note: The Shrimp and Grits portion is a small portion size.

Great study/coffee spot during the day and great music venue at night. Staff has always been friendly and the owner, Seth, is a freaking maniac on the drums. I would definitely recommend going to their music events - especially their open mic nights for musicians looking for a chill atmosphere to perform :)

Hendershot’s is the best! It’s my favorite place to perform, and my fave place to see shows/comedy. The sound system is great, the staff is always heroically sweet, and the owners are national treasures. Great coffee and fun seasonal cocktails!

We came to Athens and Hendershots to hear some love music. We were the in the afternoon. There is a nice university vibe in the area. Drinks were reasonable and service was friendly and efficient. I didn’t realize they served food. The venue for live music is excellent with a combination of tables and a nice couch area to listen to the artists. Definitely deserves a night visit next time we are in Athens.

Truly phenomenal coffee, but also an entirely unique venue! I’ve never seen anyone successfully pull off the bar AND coffeehouse in one place, and I love that they have green and red lights to sit under, compostable stirrers, and in-house roasted beans (which were smooth and so rich in flavor)! I wish this was closer to me in Boston!!! If you ever decide to branch out, all our silly alcohol rules aside, come north!!!

This is an absolute must! It is really difficult to determine whether the food or the service is more impressive... We were deliciously served by HK, who was there with our every need, communicated what oysters were out (and in -heavy representation from good old Mass (MA)! HK also gleefully swapped out the one item (of five), that we didn't particularly care for with the crab cakes, which were absolutely over the top! We devoured the oysters, clam strips, scallop fried rice, shrimp and grits and just felt the muscles were missing a bit of base salt. I would try anything on this menu. The venue was easy to park and get to the performing Arts Center in plenty of time, for curtain. Absolutely one of my favorite places and I couldn't recommend them more highly. Wine selection was quite good and we tried the 'orange wine' which was well worth it if you like eclectic things.

Truly eclectic vibe. Just like the college town coffee house you’ve been looking for and hoping for. Just amazing. Forget the big chains. This is where you want to go. Prob one of the best iced oat milk lattes I’ve ever had. Service was so friendly, speedy, and hip. Clean and plenty of seating. Conveniently located. Noise level was not overpowering - you can easily have a conservation or concentrate to finish a paper here. Don’t miss this gem.
